PROMYS India

A challenging six-week residential mathematics summer programme, PROMYS India is open to mathematically talented secondary and higher secondary students (Standards IX - XII or equivalent). Meticulously selected students from across India will gather on the campus of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru to immerse themselves in rigorous mathematics.

PROMYS India is closely modelled on its parent programme, Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS) which has been running at Boston University in the United States since 1989.

PROMYS India 2024

The programme will run from 5 May to 15 June 2024. An exceptionally talented group of students and counsellors gathered for six weeks of exciting mathematics on the campus of the Indian Institute of Science in Bengaluru for PROMYS India 2023. We are now looking forward to PROMYS India 2024.

Full Scholarships: All students accepted to PROMYS India 2024 will receive a full scholarship covering all tuition, hostel, and meals. In addition, applicants can apply for need-based funds for travel and laundry expenses. These full scholarships are thanks to the generosity and vision of PROMYS India's founding sponsors: Nick Nash & Phalgun Raju and Avi and Sandra Nash and to the Lucile and David Packard Foundation and PROMYS India's other generous partners and donors.
