“I think I have benefitted a lot from the program. While exploring mathematics normally, you are not expected to rediscover it. But the best part about PROMYS is that you are expected to do things from scratch your own way, and rediscover facts and make conjectures, which is like doing actual research…

The PROMYS community is very supportive. My counselor was always ready to give me time for whatever problem I had, mathematical or not mathematical. Also, PROMYS promotes a non-competitive math environment, which many math communities fail to do...

The depth of math at PROMYS is remarkable, wherein we write proofs in the most rigorous fashion possible, which inculcates in us a very important skill as a mathematician. Overall, it’s an experience that is one of a kind, and something that I will always remember throughout my life."

After returning to PROMYS in 2019, "As before, the best part about PROMYS has been 1) to discover new math in our own ways and 2) the community. I took two advanced courses this year: Primes and Zeta Functions and Probability, Combinatorics and Computation. I also did a research project on "Ladder Sandpiles", which was a great experience for me. Overall, PROMYS has again exceeded my already high-expectations...

Apart from math, one can find a very welcoming and supportive community in PROMYS, which is also something that can be with you for the rest of your life."
