The daily supportive lectures in the morning and the daily problem sets helps one to do the same. Then there are junior counselors and counselors, who are always there for you to help you out with your doubts from the morning lectures and from the problem sets. The best part is that they will never give you a direct answer to your question, rather they will direct you to the answer, all by yourself, by asking questions to you, thus enhancing the process of discovery.
At PROMYS, one learns to 'Think deeply about simple things'. One also learns, the true essence of mathematical rigor and as to why it is so important.
Apart from all this daily stuff, you will also get to attend a lot of mini-courses and guest lectures covering a wide range of fields in mathematics, which are immensely interesting. Then there are advanced seminars and exploration laboratories. Still if you feel bored, after all this stuff, just go for a walk by the river and refresh your mind. You may also opt for tossing a Frisbee, cause it is truly super important. Believe me, in short, fun is the synonym of PROMYS and boredom is the antonym of PROMYS.
These six weeks at PROMYS, has been the best six weeks of my life, which I will never forget, and will surely keep the golden memories of these six weeks, hidden, in a treasure box.
